The event is FREE to attend for all ages and dogs on leash are always welcomed.

Featuring more than 60 artists and craftspeople from across the local area, their exceptional creations come in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, jewelry design, fine glass, ceramics, woodwork, mixed media, photography, fiber arts, & more with something to find in everyone’s budget.

But Artwalk is not just for the art collector - it is a treasured community event that also features a variety of your favorite food trucks, a full bar with beer, wine, and cocktails, a silent auction, V&E Greenline merchandise, a kids activity area, and a line up of local-favorite music throughout the day. Simply put, there is something for everyone at Artwalk.

The purpose of Artwalk each year is to raise funds for the needs of the trail and to promote our vibrant community of artists and craftspeople in a positive, family-friendly way. All profits benefit the V&E Greenline General Fund which covers maintenance of the trail for all to enjoy. We all benefit from your attendance, purchases, and support. Thank you!

2026 Artwalk Featured Artist - NJ Woods

NJ Woods is a Memphis-based artist whose paintings are inspired by memory, family, Southern life, and the landscapes of Memphis and Mississippi. Raised in Orange Mound, Woods grew up watching her father, Yancy Richmond, paint in the middle room of their shotgun home. That early exposure to color, storytelling, and image-making shaped a lifelong creative practice rooted in personal history and the African American Southern experience.

Woods paints scenes of rustic life from memory and imagination. Her work often features shotgun houses, country roads, porches, cotton fields, and warm Delta skies. Influenced by visits to her grandmother Sarah’s home in Coldwater, Mississippi, her paintings reflect the meeting place between city life and rural traditions. Her work is known for its emotive color, folk-inspired compositions, poetic titles, and deep sense of memory.

For more than 30 years, Woods’ work has been exhibited throughout the Mid-South, including the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Memphis Botanic Garden, Kate Freeman Clark Gallery in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and Brick Gallery in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

In October 2026, Woods will be part of a retrospective exhibition at Dixon Gallery and Gardens. She continues to create paintings that honor family, place, memory, and the beauty of everyday Southern life.

NJ Woods has a personal and artistic connection to the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood. She lived on Snowden Avenue at McLean for 15 years, making the area part of her daily life and creative memory. In 2015, she also contributed public artwork to the neighborhood by painting the V&E Headshots mural with her daughter, artist Khara Woods, at 1689 Jackson Avenue. The mural’s bold, graphic figures brought color and character to the Jackson and Evergreen area and reflected NJ’s interest in community, place, and storytelling. Her return as the 2026 V&E Artwalk Featured Artist is a meaningful continuation of that connection.
